
Jewell Loyd Olympic diary: ‘Two gold medals. No one can take it away from me’

PARIS — Seattle Storm guard, two-time WNBA champion and six-time WNBA All-Star Jewell Loyd was the latest player to share insight into her life on and off the court through a video diary with Andscape during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal and former G League Ignite forward Ron Holland participated in a monthly video and diary for the 2023-24 season. NBA players Draymond Green, Vince Carter, Trae Young, CJ McCollum, Fred VanVleet, De’Aaron Fox, Cade Cunningham, James Wiseman and Josh Jackson have participated in previous diaries.
In Part 5 of her video diary, Loyd wraps up her Olympic experience by talking about the stress of Team USA’s gold medal game against France and the joy of winning the gold medal in front of loved ones (0:45), the difficulty of playing France in Paris and the breakdown of the final shot by France’s Gabby Williams (2:06), going quickly back to the WNBA season after the Olympics (3:22), the feeling of having two gold medals (4:10), the feeling of returning home to Seattle (5:52) and why she wanted to do the Olympic diary (6:13).
