2024 Heisman Trophy finalist Travis Hunter announced Thursday he’s partnering with Adidas.

The Colorado Buffaloes’ two-way player signed a multiyear footwear and apparel endorsement deal with the brand on the same day he was named AP College football player of the year.

“Working with Adidas is a special opportunity for me and something that I’m really excited about as I look ahead to what’s next,” Hunter said. “The partners they currently have are top-tier with some of the best young guys like me. I’m pumped to join the three stripes as we continue pushing the boundaries of the sport we all love.”

Signing with Adidas is the latest big off-the-field move from a player who made so many moves on the field. Hunter was the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year while racking up 1,152 yards and catching 14 offensive touchdowns. Adidas celebrated his accomplishments and the partnership by launching a limited-edition apparel collection Thursday.

“As part of our continued investment in the next generation of athletes, we’re proud to partner with someone whose passion for sport and drive to create impact on and off the field mirrors our own,” said Aaron Seabron, general manager of U.S. sports & creation center Portland at Adidas. “Travis is undeniably one of the most dynamic athletes in any sport, and we’re excited to collaborate with him and celebrate all that he accomplishes as he transitions into the next phase of what promises to be a long and successful career.”

At the Heisman Trophy ceremony Saturday, Hunter will be honored alongside fellow finalist and Adidas athlete Cam Ward of the University of Miami, who joined the brand in October. Both players are joining an endorsement roster that includes NFL players Patrick Mahomes, Michael Penix Jr., Trevor Lawrence, and Micah Parsons.
